Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Venus Williams are all scheduled for second round action on Wednesday from the All England Club.
Wimbledon 2011 is well underway as the first round is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday night.
There have been few surprises so far at the All England Club with Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Venus Williams all making short work of their first round matches.
The second round begins on Wednesday and once again it will be Nadal and Murray who headline Centre Court.
The world number one faces American Ryan Sweeting, who managed to scrape through a first round match with Spaniard Pablo Andujar, despite going two sets down. Nadal will be expected to claim another comfortable win and it would be a surprise if he doesn't do so in straight sets.
Murray will face either Tobias Kamke or Blaz Kavcic and it will be one of the biggest matches of either players' career. Neither man will have experienced an atmosphere like the one to be expected on Centre Court at Wimbledon against the British number one and it will be interesting to see whether they rise to the occasion, or fold meekly.
Another seed in action on Day Two is the 2010 finalist Tomas Berdych. The Czech blitzed his way past Filippo Volandri in straight sets in the first round and his opponent, Frenchman Julien Benneteau, will be aware of the task that is facing him on Wednesday.
The beaten finalist in last year's women's draw is also in second round action on Wednesday, with Vera Zvonareva facing compatriot Elena Vesnina. The all Russian clash is one of the most intriguing of the day. The number two seed looked a little shaky in her opening round win over American Alison Riske and Vesnina will be eyeing the biggest upset of Wimbledon 2011 so far.
The other big draw in the women's singles is Venus Williams and the American will be up against fellow veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm at SW19. Williams, aged 31, is a full nine years younger than her Japanese opponent and the match looks set to be a battle of wills and tactics as much as fitness.
