Federer Now Odds On For Wimbledon

Swiss ace Roger Federer is now as short as odds-on to recapture his Wimbledon corwn in 2009.

Federer, who once again confirmed his greatness recently by winning the French Open for the first time, is well fancied to triumph at SW19 for a sixth time, partly due to his own excellent form and return to best, but also due to the doubts over rival Rafael Nadal's participation in the grasscourt showepiece after suffering yet more knee problems.

Bet 365 go 10/11 about Federer's chances, and they also push Rafael Nadal out to 10/3, larger odds than he was last year when winning the title. Brit Andy Murray is now a clear second favourite at 3/1.

Federer, who equalled Pete Sampras's record of fourteen Slam victories, can overtake the man who has named him the 'greatest ever player' if he is victorious once again this year. Anyone who believes he will can still get even money with Ladbrokes. The Championships get underway in a fortnights time on June 22.
