Hewitt Backs Murray

Andy Murray is a serious contender for Wimbledon this year according to 2002 Champion Lleyton Hewitt.

Aussie Hewitt, who was crowned champion after defeating David Nalbandian in the final seven year's ago has said that Murray is a good bet to achieve his first Grand Slam title in this year's grasscourt showpiece.

"Roger [Federer] is just favourite, but Andy is a in a group of guys behind him in the mix." said Hewitt. 'Andy's got a good chance, he plays extremely well on this surface.'

Andy Murray and Lleyton Hewitt are competing together at the AEGON Championships this week at Queen's Club, the traditional warm-up event for Wimbledon which will begin in a fortnight's time on June 22. Andy Murray is a best priced 10/3 with Bet 365 to gain his first major success, whilst veteran Hewitt is 125/1, odds reflecting that the Aussies best year's may well definitely be behind him.
