Murray Hopes for Rain at SW19

Andy Murray has stated that he is hoping for lots of rain at Wimbledon this year.

For the first time ever, Centre Court will boast a new retractable roof, meaning that rain-delays on the main arena are now a thing of the past, and that the show court can be transformed into an indoor arena in a matter of seconds.

‘When you play indoors, it does make a big difference to the atmosphere’ said Murray. ‘Obviously there is no wind or anything around you. No sun. So it makes it a little bit easier to play’.

Murray, who grew up playing indoors feels that it is where he can play his best tennis. The retractable roof may prove to be a huge advantage for him, as it is extremely unlinkely that any of his matches will be scheduled away from Centre Court. Andy Murray is 7/2 third favourite with Hills to win his first Grand Slam tournament at SW19 this year.
