Andy Murray has stated that he is hoping for lots of rain at Wimbledon this year.

For the first time ever, Centre Court will boast a new retractable roof, meaning that rain-delays on the main arena are now a thing of the past, and that the show court can be transformed into an indoor arena in a matter of seconds.

‘When you play indoors, it does make a big difference to the atmosphere’ said Murray. ‘Obviously there is no wind or anything around you. No sun. So it makes it a little bit easier to play’.

Murray, who grew up playing indoors feels that it is where he can play his best tennis. The retractable roof may prove to be a huge advantage for him, as it is extremely unlinkely that any of his matches will be scheduled away from Centre Court.
