Roger Federer, third ranked on the ATP Tour, is into the second week of Wimbledon with his eye on a seventh title from the Grand Slam event.
Federer will next face Mikhail Youzhny, the 18th seed at the grass court Grand Slam and a player who has never won a fourth round match at Wimbledon before.
The two players are scheduled to meet on Monday, the third match of the day on Court No. 1 with a stadium start time of 13:00 (UK time).
The Russian himself is no stranger to week two at Wimbledon as he has five times made the second week at the All England Club. On each occasion, however, he has faltered on the biggest day in tennis, the second Monday at Wimbledon, and surely he looks like he is in trouble against Federer, the six time champion from the All England Club.
Surviving Youzhny, Federer will next face the winner between David Ferrer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Tsonga may be the player that advances through that match as the Frenchman has been playing well during the short grass court season.
Federer vs Tsonga has the potential to be a competitive match ahead of the semifinals with the survivor of Federer's quarter quite likely to face Novak Djokovic in the semis.
